Missing Autistic Girl in Virginia, 5 Years Old

It seems wandering is a growing concern for children with Autism. Last month we reported on Nathan Carman, the missing 17 year old boy from Connecticut and unfortunately today we are writing a similar story about a missing 5 year old autistic girl in Hampton, VA. They have not released her name but we are being told that police are looking for a 5 year old, black female who is autistic. She was reported missing at approximately 6pm local time. She was last seen wearing a Hello Kitty t-shirt and white and purple shorts. She is approximately 4′ tall and slim.

Police are asking you to callĀ 757-727-6111 if you have any information. Please help spread the word that there is a missing child with autism in the Hampton, VA area.


Update (September 8, 1:30pm EST):

It is with a heavy heart that we have to share the news that the body of Kaymania Serenity Catta, the missing child in Virginia, was found in a lake just two blocks from her home. No foul play is suspected rather that she wandered from her home and fell in the lake. Our hearts go out to her family at this time.
